Thoughts and memoria

Thoughts and memoria

To sleep is to ease myself out of the world

And tweeze out the thoughts and my fears

Twisting and turning the threads of the day

Cats cradling dreaming appears

But just as the rock on the fire glows red

And the river flows on through the night

The threads of our memories wear thin over time

And we lose them away to the wind

To sleep

To sleep

As I turn down the wick on the light of the day

The dread takes its toll on my sleep

When I wake I am haunted by ghosts of the night

When I sleep I lie there awake

The problems are solved by turning away

With a mask of the bland and serene

I cannot take credit for the ways of the world

But I can take a part in its dream
